Wyly Bigger Shares Rock’n’Roll Album ‘Broken Telephone’

Wyly Bigger is rather successful in crafting a historically accurate record. Building the project’s identity on rock’n’roll and Mississippi blues stylings, the American creative takes us back to the 50s and 60s with a playful, dancy outlook that’s charming and evocative. ‘Broken Telephone’ is Bigger’s latest album, a slice of retro euphoria delivered with the highest grade of musicianship and lyricism.

At a closer look, one can appreciate the effort put into such a quirky record. That’s not easy to be so accurate these days – playing true rock’n’roll requires a certain amount of care and knowledge. Hailing from Memphis, Wyly Bigger has it all, both from a songwriting and performing point of view. Growing up alongside the Mississippi River, the young creative is a worthy descendant of the blues and rock’n’roll scene.

Released via Madjack Records, the album features some of Memphis’ most talented musicians, including Matt Ross-Spang, Danny Banks, Mark Edgar Stuart, and Jim Spake. On such a premise, ‘Broken Telephone’ flourishes with a timeless flair, providing a wonderful insight into the great American music tradition.
