The debut single by sonic voyager WUNDER BETA, the record promotes an eclectic concoction of Bossa Nova grooves and ethereal electronica, making for a piece that feels cinematic and cathartic, yet striking and hard-hitting. Such imaginative artistry won’t be a surprise when analysing WUNDER BETA’s notable roots.
Relocating from Brazil to London, the talented songstress has so far operated as a ‘wonder kid’, juggling a series of bold professional and creative endeavours. One of them saw her co-founding the BAFTA award-winning video games studio Bossa Games – say no more! ‘Waiting Here’ follows the same patterns, in a way; WUNDER BETA moves fast and breaks things, bringing freshness and innovation to the contemporary music landscape.
Her evocative, luscious vocals create a delicate yet intense atmosphere, further lullabied by orchestral atmospheres and electronic beats. Expanding on her artistry, WUNDER BETA explains: “Sonically, I created a kaleidoscope of electronic sounds woven into my ethereal-dreamy vocals, with nods to my Brazilian Bossa Nova influences.”
