Wotts Unleash More Dreamy Nostalgia-Pop Goodness with ‘Wilson’

One of the greatest joys in my life is discovering new bands and artists and falling in love with them. One such recent act is the Canadian-based indie-pop duo Wotts. The dynamic pair of Jayem and Ricky 100 first burst into my life last year with their light and dreamy gem ‘garden’, and I’ve been an unwavering supporter ever since. Boasting a collection of memorable tunes already to their name, today I’d like to introduce you to ‘Wilson’, the pair’s brand new single.

Inspired by Tame Impala and Brothertiger, ‘Wilson’ leans heavily into synthy-driven, psychedelic nostalgia-pop with a dash of 80s flair. “Since day one we’ve always looked to incorporate ‘timeless sounds into our music,” says Jayem. “We love mixing old with new”.

Immersive, captivating, and rich with depth, ‘Wilson’ exemplifies Wott’s talent for blending classic influences with a fresh and inventive musical approach. I find myself running out of superlatives to describe just how good an act these two are, something that rarely occurs and, I believe, indicates their standout brilliance.

Gearing up for the release of another new EP, and with plans to start recording their debut full-length album, Wotts are ready to take their already impressive sound to even greater heights – and you know we’ll be with them all the way!

If you’d like to get to know the duo a bit better, check out our most recent interview with them here!
