Wilza Brings Back Jack House with ‘What You See’

Reminding us of the early House music emerging from New York and Chicago in the late 80s, ‘What You See’ is a highly addictive piece. Bringing back that soulful, disco vibe and R&B vocal samples, the track is a nostalgic jewel that still manages to look towards the future, decoding tradition following today’s EDM values. Described as ‘New Jack House’ by its author – upcoming producer Wilza – ‘What You See’ will greatly resonate with all the House aficionados out there.

Hailing from London, Wilza navigates the music scene with gusto and charisma; his mixed heritage (St. Lucia and Britain) certainly plays a role in that, allowing him to transcend cultures and fixed rules. That’s the same ethos that pioneers such as Frankie Knuckles or Marshall Jefferson were introducing to their scene, almost 40 years ago. ‘What You See’ seeks to capture such a rich history and bring it forward, and we can safely say that aim has been reached.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the record, Wilza explains: “The aim of this release is to bring back a classic track, from a classic genre and let house music lovers of today and tomorrow enjoy it the way it was enjoyed back in the 90’s. This track deserves a permanent spot on dance floors worldwide.”
