‘Bitter’ is the energetic new single from Brighton-based indie-pop trio Wild Horse, a band made up of brothers Jack and Henry Baldwin and their best mate since primary school Ed Barnes. Having already recorded 5 (yes 5!) studio albums, the band certainly aren’t newcomers to the scene, and the relentless pursuit of their goals has seen them gain fans and admirers all around the globe.
Getting back to the tune in question, ‘Bitter’ is a breezy, airy, and infectious anthem. It’s an upbeat track that has been expertly produced and features one of the catchiest choruses that you are ever likely to hear! It really is the perfect song in many ways, and there’s a little something for everyone to love about it.
Lyrically, ‘Bitter’ explores the emotional confusion of having a casual partner, and the want and need for something more permanent and stable. Wild Horse beautifully juxtaposes this with a warm and summery soundscape, and in the process, has created one of our favourite tunes of the year!
