Chicago-based alternative-rock act wht.rbbt.obj (White Rabbit Object) recently unleashed a brand new tune called ‘No Rainbows In Indiana’, and I haven’t rocked out to a track this electrifying in quite some time! Gearing up for the release of their debut EP ‘Whiskey Hotel Tango’, the “femme fatale” fronted band have teased us with a bluesy, smoky, and rocky classic. There’s a crunchy bass guitar…A dirty and infectious guitar riff…And some seriously powerful and sonorous vocals courtesy of River Rabbitte. It’s just pure rock ‘n’ roll perfection in all honesty!
Thematically, a lot is going on as well. With lyrical nods to Chicago evoking feelings of displacement and a yearning for home, to poetic verses exploring heartbreak, loss, and melancholy, ‘No Rainbows In Indiana’ is deeply complex. It’s emotionally intricate too. But above all, it’s profoundly honest.
The band have spent a year touring and opening for the likes of Eve6 and Moon Walker, but now their attention turns to the launch of their debut EP. The best news is that ‘Whiskey Hotel Tango’ will be the first of three EPs promised to us by wht.rbbt.obj, so there’s lots more to come from this hugely talented act!
