Well Grounded Returns with Growth Anthem ‘Sailing On’

Reading about Well Grounded is quite inspirational. Emerging from California, the reggae and pop outfit has been rediscovering music only recently, coming back to it after a 10 years hiatus. He describes it as a “somewhat painful departure from recording and performing”, leading to him looking for an alternative life journey in computer science. To us, this is quite motivational. You see, creative arts deal with personal expression, they flourish over our consciousness. If so, it’s only natural to feel artistically empty at times. Depending on where life takes you, the shine of music could go away. The inspiration might leave for a while.

Well Grounded reinvented himself, but eventually, music returned home, once again offering its creative vision and power to the Californian talent. Having performed and written music for twenty years, previous to his hiatus, Well Grounded took the occasion to reboot his career. This takes the shape of ‘Sailing On’, a charming and vibey gem built on reggae and dub influences.

Lyrically, ‘Sailing On’ seeks to be an anthem of hope and growth. As the American musician explains: “Work towards your mental, physical, and spiritual health in small ways every day and you will find yourself more well grounded. Remember the past and craft your future by living in the present.”
