Was a Wolf Offers Up a Gooey Sonic Adventure on ‘Slow Secrets’

Are you ready to melt into some dreamy, electronic, shoegaze goo? If so, I have just the tune! ‘Slow Secrets’ is the brand new offering from a London-based artist and producer known as Was a Wolf, and it’s one of the most hypnotic tracks I’ve come across in some time.

An immersive blend of reverb-soaked guitars, rich and profound basslines, and ethereal, almost otherworldly synths, ‘Slow Secrets’ is a sonic adventure down a dreamscape inviting you to lose yourself within its layers.

Shouting out guitarists like Charlie Burchill (Simple Minds) and Will Sergeant (Echo & the Bunnymen) as inspirations for the song’s beginning, it’s the incorporation of indie electronic elements that truly take the tune to new heights.

“I’m usually going for an introspective feeling to create ‘personal soundtrack moments’ for the listener,” says the artistic genius behind Was a Wolf. “But in ‘Slow Secrets’, I tried to pull it together into a more ecstatic ending”.

It hasn’t taken me long to completely fall in love with this alluring and serene little track. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to stick on Was a Wolf’s debut album ‘Change of Control’. Released in 2020, I think it may contain some gems!
