Vlad in Tears drive a pretty unique story. You see, the Berlin-based outfit is a family matter, being formed by three brothers, Chris on vocal duties, Dario on bass and Alessio on guitar. Their musical output takes the shape of eclectic rock matter, oscillating between hard-hitting, punchy alt-rock and mellower, eclectic material, often drenched in electronic textures and friendly lyricism. Coincidentally, the three siblings also run a bar together, in the German capital. Sounds like a perfect setup for a band, doesn’t it?
‘Hope’ is one of Vlad in Tears’ latest singles, contained in the wider album ‘Porpora’. In the context of the album, ‘Hope’ is actually quite a unique and kaleidoscopic effort, built over cinematic tones and poppier material. Oscillating between anthemic vocal hooks and a fragile piano, the record moves at a relatively slow pace, always resolving on a chorus that’s as catchy as they come, a true arena-style section.
Speaking about the lyricism behind ‘Hope’, Vlad in Tears explain: “The song and the album itself are a journey through the human soul, at least ours, during these 2 years of isolation called Covid.”
