We have been following London-based, Italian-born creative V?k since last year, fiercely on his way to release a debut EP. We featured ‘Superficie’ and ‘Moai’, taken aback by the lyrical depth and tender authenticity the songs had to offer. Now, we are proud to be sharing the finished product: ‘Cuorelemento’, a self-described concept EP building a parallel between the classic ‘Four Fundamental Elements’ (earth, water, fire, air) and four equivalent human moods.
From that, it’s easy to understand why the record contains four singles. Built on modern, luscious pop tones, ‘Cuorelemento’ benefits from V?k’s expressive, precise vocals, wrapping the listeners in tenderness and understanding, yet also exposing the real truths behind some common behaviours.
Digging deeper into such a lyrical premise, V?k explains: “Our heart is not simple, but complex and vast, capable of hosting infinite combinations of emotions. With Cuorelemento, I wanted to represent this complexity, making the four elements coexist in a single entity: the heart”.
