It took us a while to comprehend the real magnitude behind Vinyl Williams’ artistry. To define him as a musician is rather reductive; a true multi-sensory polymath, the talented creative has made a name for himself thanks to heavy use of 3D visuals, usually in the form of animated music videos with 360° capabilities. Its sonic counterpart is equally impressive, an euphoric and lush concoction of nostalgic gaze tones and quirky electronica, oscillating between vaporwave, chillwave, dream/indie pop and psychedelia.
It’s an extensive list – that’s why Vinyl Williams is such a sui generis project. Recently, he’s released another cathartic piece, ‘Find The Hidden’. The dazzling and playful single anticipates a larger work, ‘Polyhaven / Portasymphony’, a double album expected on June 13th via Harmony Records.
