Please give a big welcome to Corby-based up-and-coming singer/songwriter Vincent J. Rigney. Having released his debut single ‘Beautiful Human’ only three months ago, Vicent now returns with his third offering in the form of ‘My Baby Let Me Down Tonight’. A soulful, bluesy, and uncomplicated little number, the sway-inducing tune serves as the final track taken from the musician’s highly anticipated debut EP ‘Songs From The Water Tower’. Full of depth and warmth, it’s a song that expertly showcases just what Vincent is all about!
Recorded at Lime Green Monkeys Recording Studio in Essex, Rigney worked alongside legendary producer Edd Hartwell (Robbie Williams, Ed Sheeran) to bring the tune to life. The track also recently caught the eye of BBC presenter Bernie Keith, who has shown tremendous support for Vincent’s work so far. It’s not hard to understand why!
Written after an in-depth conversation with a stranger on a night out, ‘My Baby Let Me Down Tonight’ has a timeless aura to it. It could have just as easily been a hit fifty years ago as it can be today! I believe that’s the genius of the track. Sometimes less truly is more, and Vincent proves it with his beautiful new song.
