It would be hard to describe Vince Chinaski without first recognizing the uniqueness of his vocals, together with his polite, classy charisma. Sort of a modern crooner, the Copenhagen resident possesses a rather deep tone, the perfect fit for his relatable, poignant and approachable lyricism. After releasing three very appreciated singles last year, Chinaski now returns with ‘Eat Your Peas!’, a personal blend between classic and folk rock with a touch of romanticism. Reminding us of Mark Knopfler, among others, Vince’s musical matter includes poised and measured guitar playing, showcasing the experience and refined musicianship stemming from a long career in the music industry.
In fact, music has always been Chinaski’s primary effort. Growing up in Rome and then moving to Berlin, Vince had the chance to tour far and wide across Europe, namely with The Innits (Sunday Service Records), The Man No. 9 (Haute Areal Records) and the Zürich-based Division Kent (Sony BMG). Meeting his love partner in the same setting, he’s now happily based in Denmark.
Describing the inspiration behind the track, Chinaski explains: Raising kids is full of paradoxes and that’s possibly the beauty of it, even if it’s exasperating. […] In constant balance between being “understanding authoritative” and “lost-my-patience authoritarian”, your own baggage makes it difficult to stay flexible and break your tried-and-true patterns. Then one day these little persons say or do something extraordinary that makes you realise how wonderfully they have developed, in ways you couldn’t even have imagined…”
