Venior has never been shy about breaking boundaries and straying away from the normality of Earth, and ‘Curtains Fall’ is no exception, sounding as though it was created in another dimension. This other dimension is better known to Venior as the ‘Neon Pussy Universe,’ filled with her mysterious and colourful examples of art. ‘Curtains Fall’ explores the concept of reality and ultimately questions this metaphorical curtain that is hung in front of this reality theatre stage.
Venior’s vocals visit a whirlwind of tones and ranges, making each line exclusively dissimilar, her passion intensifies towards the chorus, clinging on to the hope of finding an answer to her existential questions, but remaining reluctant when returning to the verse. The track is written, produced and mixed by Venior, allowing her to remain as authentic as possible, especially regarding the emotion attached to the track.
A trippy soundtrack accompanies the otherworldly lyrics, delving into different levels of this feeling Venior is attempting to portray, playing into the intense chorus and pairing with her passion perfectly. Exploratory beats and a heavy bass carry this mysterious portrayal, bewitching listeners and encouraging them to also question their own reality.
‘Curtains Fall’ is taken from Venior’s debut full-length album, out September 2022, and is an electrifying insight into what’s next on the horizon for the project.
