The keen reader will joyfully remember Venice Heath, London-based outfit with a knack for bright eclectic indie stylings, often balanced between danceable grooves, fuzzy distortions and retro-flavoured synthesisers. They spent the best part of the year getting ready for their EP release, slowly dropping a few of the stunning tracks that would eventually celebrate their nuanced body of work. Now, that very same EP has been released into the world, given to all of the hungry listeners out there – sort of like us, for instance.
We previously wrote about Venice Heath: “the group has slowly evolved into one of the most convincing indie realities in the scene right now, boasting a superb sound that screams ‘next-big-thing’ whichever way you approach it.” We stand by our words. ‘Summernight’ – the project’s latest EP – is an absolute triumph, a catchy and euphoric record that we are confident will connect to many listeners out there.
How could it not be? Over the course of five fast-paced, slick and luscious tracks, Venice Heath showcase their freshness and sonic charge, going from haunting, psychedelic moments to more uplifting, poppy choruses, all without losing their essence. Electronic elements are blended seamlessly with their fuzzy guitar action, taking the group to the forefront of modernity.
