There’s a certain flair for eclecticism, with the record navigating anthemic pop and art-rock with a theatrical flair, highly enhanced by Trent-Jean’s evocative and charismatic vocals, filled with gravitas yet flexible and controlled.
The sonic framework in which ‘Cities Burning’ flourishes has been sculpted by notable producer Rob Grant, known for his past work with Tame Impala and Lenny Kravitz, among others. It is not surprising then, to observe the song reaching impressive levels, further elevated by Treant-Jean’s stunning interpretation.
