Trench Coast and Co. Masterfully Rework Tunes From Debut Album on ‘Mix Drinks’

At the end of last year, Berlin-based electronic producer Trench Coast dropped his debut album ‘Drinks’. A genre-bending and textured piece of work, the nine-track offering pushed the boundaries of traditional genres. After receiving a whole lot of love for ‘Drinks’, Trench Coast decided it was time to unleash ‘Mix Drinks’, a selection of five tunes from ‘Drinks’ completely reworked and remixed. Let’s dive in!

First up is ‘Packs’ which features Dresden-based musician and interdisciplinary artist

Christian Grochau. Better known by his moniker Qrauer, Christian constructs an exhilarating and immersive rework of the original. With a runtime of just under seven minutes, it’s the perfect tone-setter.

‘None of Your Theories Work’ then gets a sophisticated and high-tempo adaptation courtesy of a debut from grässlichrosaleuchten, before another Dresden-based producer Ansek steps up to the plate to deliver an Italo-disco version of ‘Vallies’.

Our main artist supplies a scrambled and revised variant of ‘Boris Bay’ next before we end with Axl Rhodes’ remix of ‘The Human Megabyte’. All in all, it’s a thrilling sonic journey and a masterclass on reinventing and elevating already compelling songs.
