‘Perfect Dream’ is the warm and upbeat new offering from Los Angeles-based indie-rock duo Trash Pals. Made up of Conor Rayne and Gabriel Schnider, it’s the pair’s first release of 2024, and it instantly displays their unique blend of folky, rocky, dreamy goodness! Beautifully pieced together and layered, it doesn’t take long for the laidback and summery tune to get stuck in your head. And as for the duo’s vocal performances…well I’ll just leave you to experience that all for yourself!
Lyrically, ‘Perfect Dream’ is a song about remembrance and the delicate nature of how we look back on certain moments. “It’s a song about memory and how cherished moments are to be held closely but gently,” says Conor. “Like dreams, they can crack apart and vanish if held too tightly”.
Trash Pals have unleashed what is easily one of the best tracks that I’ve heard all year. It’s just perfect in every way. Laced with nostalgia and warmth, ‘Perfect Dream’ offers a little something for everyone to love about it, and I’m certain that it will become a timeless favourite for music enthusiasts far and wide!
