Transcending Into The Unknown Introduce Themselves with Self-Titled Single

Filip and Robert Dahl, along with Filip’s son Stian, make up the collaborative project known as Transcending Into The Unkown. Based in Trondheim, Norway, their brand new self-titled single is also the band’s debut release, and it’s an electric guitar-based instrumental that will honestly blow your socks off! Merging elements of blues rock, progressive rock, and even a little metal, the three outrageously talented guitarists take turns ripping it up over a fairly straightforward soundtrack. Just for some context – Filip plays the first solo, Stian the second, and Robert the last.

Both Filip and Robert have been around the Norwegian music scene for many decades now, either as lead guitarists for bands or, in the case of Robert, frontmen for them. Stian, being the youngest, was influenced by blues and rock from a young age. He now draws inspiration from guitarists like the late Dimebag Darrell, Paul Gilbert, Brandon Ellis, and Rick Graham.

The debut self-titled single from Transcending Into The Unknown is a genuine and expertly showcased example of the immense potential of family collaboration. Though coming from different musical backgrounds, their collective passion shines through wonderfully on the tune, and I can’t wait to hear what they get up to next!
