Following up on previous single ‘DROPDEADCANDY’ (one of the most streamed in the artist’s catalogue), the record wants to pursue a more radio-friendly sonic direction, allowing the track to potentially reach a bigger number of listeners. Acoustic guitars play a vital role here, together with ‘00s pop’-derived beats, making it possible for ToyQueens to indulge in quieter, mellower melodies, building the perfect environment for us to be able to hear the English talent’s clean vocals.
Lyrically, he draws imagery from his personal universe, namely “inspired by horror ideas and old mythology; each song holds double meanings and character development.” To mention, ToyQueens produces his own material, which is frankly impressive. We are on board!
