A familiar face on our blog, London-based blues man Tom Minor was last seen releasing ‘Where Do You See Yourself In Five Years?’, a charming piece we described as “extremely playful and tongue-in-cheek”. Now, the London-based creative returns with another compelling offering, the cryptic and rebellious anthem ‘The Bad Life’.
Enlisting fellow musicians The Creatures of Habit, Minor explores life’s guilty pleasures, leaving the judgmental tone aside. The listeners will come to their own conclusions, while Tom guides them through a fierce and fuzzy rock livery which perfectly complements his nuanced and charming vocals. Channelling everything from punk to Americana flavourings, the Islington resident manages to deliver a slice of veiled euphoria packed with meaning and ambiguity.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Tom explains: “An invitation to hedonism and all the pleasure and pain that it may entail or a warning thereof, we can’t quite figure out, can you?”
