Thee Mighty Saint Pancras Shares Fierce Single ‘Lucky Jim’

Declaring themselves as a “rock punk post-beat band from Camden Town”, Thee Mighty Saint Pancras celebrate the close ties with their London home, sharing material that reeks of sleazy pubs, grimy back alleys and that partly seems to resurrect that very same rebellious spirit that made the British capital such a famous creative hub in the 70s. ‘Lucky Jim’ is the group’s latest effort, a single that’s noisy, hard-hitting and inherently fierce.

Introduced by galloping drums, tribal rhythms and playful, fuzzy guitar riffs, ‘Lucky Jim’ soon introduces Thee Mighty Saint Pancras’ lead vocals, here as distorted as their instrumental counterpart. Slowly developing into a punk anthem, the track never descends into chaotic euphoria, a sign that the band possess strong musical prowess behind them.

Authentically English, Thee Mighty Saint Pancras might just be the uplifting and bold act you were looking for. Speaking about the single, they explain: “The lyrics came when feeling anxious about time passing and not getting everything done that want to do but how – if you are with the right people _ everything can work out fine”.
