The Way Out Of Here Shares Slow-Burn Anthem ‘I’ll Be Away’

‘I’ll Be Away’ is a delicious single, a slow-burning, cathartic bluesy and soul rock gem with tons of character and charisma. Yet, one of its most interesting aspects is the story behind it. Penned by London-based musician and drummer Pablo Amador via his moniker The Way Out Of Here, the song found its origin during the pandemic, certainly an introspective time for Amador, dealing with a long-distance relationship and a chaotic world.

As one would expect, the record contains all of Pablo’s nuanced musicianship, making it a striking showcase of his artistic potential. Usually seen on the British live circuits with up-and-coming bands (the likes of Young Fatigue and Bastie), the Mexican artist is a complete outfit on his own, and judging by what we can hear in ‘I’ll Be Away’, there’s a lot of future potential there.

Citing John Mayer and Red Hot Chili Peppers as his main inspiration for the piece, Amador teamed up with producer Ula Wodarz on the recording process, performing all instruments by himself except for a synth part played by Ula. Impressive!
