The Survival Code Shares Relatable Alt-Rock Single ‘For Right or Wrong, For Better or Worse’

We didn’t know who The Survival Code were until last week, and we have to say they were a very welcome discovery. What impressed us the most is the fact that they know exactly what their goals are, and where they are going. How could not they be? Racking up over a million streams on their 2019 single ‘So Serious’, the British group has greatly showcased their blossoming into a talented alt-rock reality, sharing golden nuggets of sonic punch with good attention to charming vocal details.

They have been silent for the past three years, taking a hiatus that was perhaps influenced by the complex events around the world. Now though, The Survival Code are ready to step back into the limelight, doing so with a very particular strategy: a single per month for the whole year, leading up to a final album in December.

Starting in January with ‘The Heart Will Bleed’, followed up by ‘Never Knew You Existed’, the group now shares their latest offering, ‘For Right or Wrong, For Better or Worse’, their best track so far, in our opinion. It is punchy alt-rock with a certain friendly and emotional lyrical outlook, echoing the likes of Foo Fighters, among others. It is exactly the quality of the duo’s vocals that greatly enriches the listening experience, potentially widening the pool of their listeners. It’s not just for the rock aficionados, but also the keen and eclectic music lovers.
