Headed up by Evan Walsh (former drummer of The Strypes), The Savage Hearts is an Irish-based act that formed during the summer of 2022. Paying homage and worshipping the life and art of “uncelebrated Cavan rock ‘n’ roll alpha beast Eddie Cruizer”, they’re an extremely unique band who have just put out two smashing new singles.
‘Gang War’ and ‘Speed Kills’ are two of the most gritty and high-energy tunes that I’ve heard all year. The first, co-authored by Ste Kelly of Raglans, is an all-out assault on the senses. Punky, fuzzy, and downright electrifying, it’s a shot of adrenaline that the band admits will “test the listener’s endurance”.
‘Speed Kills’ is also a barnstorming piece of music that thrills and excites. Powerful and intense, it showcases a super tight unit that knows exactly how to deliver a sonic punch straight to the gut. Keeping the listener on their toes throughout, both tracks ignite a fire in one’s soul, commanding and captivating your attention!
Having recently signed with Irish indie label Blowtorch Records, The Savage Hearts are embarking on a new chapter in their musical career. It promises to be an exhilarating journey for all involved!
