There aren’t a lot of words we can use to describe ‘Fade’, other than just ‘beautiful’ and ‘incredible’. It’s a perfect record. A soothing, acoustic indie folk offering drenched in evocative harmonies and poignant textures, the track will cater to even the most apathetic of listeners, wrapping everyone into a gentle, elegant sonic and lyrical universe offering acceptance, love and nostalgia.
Quite a triumph – The Macarons Project once again showcase their artistic worth. Boasting millions of streams on their catalogue, the Canadian duo has been riding the high waves of the industry since 2018. Now, they gear up for a brand new album, ‘reverie’, upcoming in the next few months.
If ‘Fade’ is anything to go by, we are in for a stunning record. The single is already a huge accomplishment – kind, yet intense. Nuanced and minimal, yet very firm. Ree and Dito have done it again; we can only bow to such unique talent and creativity.
