The Linda Brady Revival Return with New Album ‘Deep Brain Stimulator’

Twenty-five years ago, Washington, DC-based musician Linda Brady released a self-titled album on an indie label. She then left the music business to teach and raise children, never to be heard from again. Until now! Please welcome The Linda Brady Revival and their brand new record ‘Deep Brain Stimulator’. Named after the hardware inside Linda’s head since being diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s Disease, the twelve-track power-pop offering channels Linda’s journey into a fearless and defiant sonic adventure.

‘Shut You’ gets things up and running infectiously with compelling guitar work, hard-hitting drums, and Brady’s confident and commanding vocals. ‘Build Something’, the album’s first single, then steps up to the plate in an energetic fashion, and the listener is now fully immersed in a whirlwind of emotional depth and sharp, catchy melodies.

‘Yes Man’ brings a sense of sonic nostalgia to the fore, before the rocking sounds of ‘Cary Grant’ get you on your feet and dancing like a power-pop revival for the ages.

Other personal favourites include the delicate ‘SSV’, ‘It’s a Good Day’ which features Jeff Murphy, and the gritty gem ‘Up the Incline’. Truthfully, however, the entire record deserves your focus and attention – it’s an absolute winner from start to finish!
