The Dream Spiral Release Bold and Unflinching Second Single ‘Redemption’

Brisbane-based music collective The Dream Spiral recently put out their sophomore single in the form of ‘Redemption’, a bold and garagey rock tune that feels like an instant classic. Raw and gritty, the track draws inspiration from Depeche Mode’s pioneering album ‘Songs of Faith and Devotion’. Blending alternative and indie-rock with electronica, it’s a tune that establishes the quintet as an electrifying new act with a dynamic and exhilarating sound.

Lyrically, ‘Redemption’ offers up an unapologetic message. “The song is about desire and sin and how the insidiousness of religion makes us feel guilty for feeling pleasure,” says the band. Clearly unafraid to explore the depths of the human experience, The Dream Spiral fearlessly challenge conventional beliefs, and I will ALWAYS have time for artists who do just that!

Serving as the first single from the act’s forthcoming album, ‘Redemption’ sounds like it was crafted in the 90s. And I say that with the greatest of respect! It just gives off a nostalgic and authentic vibe that harkens back to the golden era of alternative rock. I’m hoping The Dream Spiral don’t keep us waiting too long to hear their debut album, but in the meantime, we can revel in the anticipation of what it promises!
