Texan Rock Outfit Onism E Returns with ‘It’s Not Over’

Emerging from Texas, Onism E configures itself as a kaleidoscopic rock trio, championing music that’s haunting, relatable and metaphorical, while eclectic in its instrumental prowess. Headed by singer and songwriter Eline Chavez, the group has been debuting in 2019, and since then they have amassed a plethora of singles and a cohort of listeners, intrigued by the band’s poignant yet energetic offering.

Following up from ‘Lin Manuel’, released earlier this year, Onism E seems to be opening a new chapter, thanks to their latest record ‘It’s Not Over’. Introduced by a luscious and spacious guitar tone, the track feels like a bucolic blend between bluesy lyricism and shoegaze-flavoured aesthetic, maintaining an ‘open’ sound, also thanks to free-form drums and the many guitar layers. Crowning this charming sonic formula, we find Chavez’s evocative and intense vocals, pairing perfectly with the instrumental background.

Lyrically, ‘It’s Not Over’ seeks to be a hymn against troubling times, empowering listeners in pushing through and brave it out. A worthy release from Onism E, who have definitely caught our undivided attention.
