Texan Duo Jane Leo Share Compelling and Eclectic Debut Album

Emerging on the global music scene with charm and irresistible energy, Jane Leo are one of those projects that perfectly blend their sonic outlook with refined lyricism, creating a superb artistic formula set to conquer listeners far and wide. How could it not be that way? Take for instance their recently released, self-titled debut album: a collection of eight relatable and picturesque gems, the record encompasses art-pop in its purest form: drawing influences from post-punk, witty electronica and folk tones, ‘Jane Leo’ ends up being a compelling glimpse into the pair’s eclectic artistry, while still retaining its pop character.

Comprised of Jane Ellen Bryant and Daniel Leopold, Jane Leo have been steadily sharpening the teeth on their latest project over the past year and a half. With a string of successful single releases, regional touring supporting notable acts such as Cannons, Unlikely Candidates, and Misterwives, Jane Leo are now entering the next phase of their career, also thanks to their recent signing with MARS Label Group.

If there’s one thing you’ll discover in ‘Jane Leo’, is the duo’s compelling use of 80s influences, new wave tropes and darkwave vibes. Safe to say, the intriguing arrangements never overpower the song, instead providing a suitable framework for Bryant’s evocative and luscious vocals, able to transport the listener to unknown territories. Eventually, the song is the winner: their songwriting is memorable, catchy and meaningful.
