Tallulah Rendall Returns with ‘Expanse of You’

We dearly remember writing about fascinating songstress Tallulah Rendall earlier this year, when we were lucky enough to feature ‘Be Free’, a delicate acoustic single we defined as “a soothing, mellow and delicate listening experience, creating a stark contrast with the seriousness and dark contour of its lyricism”. Now, the British creative returns with her latest effort, ‘Expanse of You’, a track that follows the project’s typical blueprint.

Over a triumph of delicate acoustic guitars and feeble melancholic harmonies and soundscapes, Rendall designs nostalgic and solemn melodies, resulting in a song that feels soothing as much as it is intense and celebrative. Tallulah’s vocal tone is always a pleasure to hear, so malleable and evocative, really taking the whole record to another level of relatability. After all, if she was able to captivate a supporting audience over five albums, there’s a reason: she’s simply one of the most striking acoustic projects you’ll come across. Folk at its best.

Taken from Rendall’s upcoming full-length record ‘Love Carries Me Home’, ‘Expanse of You’ was born from a place of deep reflection. As Tallulah explains: “This song is my commitment to stand alongside artists that have gone before me and those I walk alongside now, uniting and inspiring us to protect, honour and safeguard the land that we call home, so that the generations of species to come can thrive. It is also a commitment to my own self-care, to listen to what truly resonates for me, and what doesn’t, and through that clarity take greater care of myself.”

Tallulah Rendall is also about the launch a Patreon page, please consider supporting her. Stay updated here
