Often, life surprises you. For Tai Woffinden that meant taking time off from being a multiple world champion professional speedway rider in favour of a DJ course, one he completed in only 4 days, in Perth. The idea came to him during a festival, where he fell in love with electronic music and decided to try his hands at artistic expression. Safe to say, he’s crushing it. Woffinden’s latest effort, ‘Intergalactic’, is a punchy, luscious and haunting EDM banger, featuring a female spoken-word element that really helps place the record in club settings.
Inspired by main room tech house, Woffinden seeks to explore the kind of music that would be a home in a massive club or festival. Since he decided to take the plunge into DJing, he’s already played at several venues in Australia and Poland, with two festivals booked this July in Poland and Croatia. Notably, ‘Intergalactic’ is the first of 12 tracks that he’ll be releasing this year – full commitment!
When asked about the release, Woffinden simply said, “Whatever it takes.” It’s clear that he’s dedicated to his music and is willing to put in the work to make it a success. If he can replicate only a quarter of what he’s achieved in sports, we are in for a pretty glorious career. We can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us with his upcoming releases.
