Sylvan Tirelle Unveils Eclectic Album ‘Omni-Gatherum’

Not an album for everyone, ‘Omni-Gatherum’ is sure to connect with the most eclectic and enlightened listeners out there, the ones that don’t get satisfied by standard commercial charts or edgy playlists. In a sense, it’s a dreamy record, because it aids imagination and escapism, it offers a thousand opportunities for withdrawal and survival. ‘Omni-Gatherum’ could be one’s safe space, a warm refuge after a day of social reckoning. That’s how the album will make everyone feel. And we cherish it.

Sonically, we are in fusion and jazz territories, packing 70s-flavoured aesthetics with grooves and charming horns sections. Penned by American explorer Sylvan Tirelle, ‘Omni-Gatherum’ is a highly addictive record, especially given its eclectic instrumentation. From marimba and percussions to flutes and saxophone, passing through everything in between.

Speaking about the inspiration behind such majestic pieces, Tirelle explains: “I see it as the actualization of my longstanding determination to learn as many instruments as I can – a determination that has not ceased after completing this album. This recording includes at least 15 separate instruments, recorded and performed entirely by one individual.”
