Swedish Songtress Loss Returns with ‘Legacy’

A dreamy and ethereal record, ‘Legacy’ is almost magical in its sonic character. Expansive, cathartic and dynamic, the song wraps the listeners in a sea of detuned textures, Scandinavian harmonies, and Loss’ evocative, elegant vocals. It’s not easy to define genre-wise, and perhaps that’s its destiny: the track exists as a floating entity in the space-time continuum, calling for introspection and attention.

Hailing from Sweden, Loss boasts a notable past, making a name for herself in the early 2010s. Back then, she was going by her actual name Britta Persson. Perhaps, Loss represents a sort of artistic rebirth, and the willingness to appeal to an international audience (some of her earlier catalogue is indeed in Swedish). What’s certain is that the project is moving towards the right direction, encompassing all the lo-fi, psych and dreamwave energy that’s so sought after nowadays.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Legacy’, Persson explains: “The track is about letting someone go and at the same time letting that person live on, through you.” A worthy listening experience – we are looking forward to hearing more
