Sunset to Burns Drop Unbelievable Debut Album ‘Know the Feeling’

There seems to be a plethora of excellent debut albums coming out recently, and I’m certainly not complaining! Please give a big welcome to Sunset to Burns, a Missouri-based quintet that delivers a unique blend of Americana, folk-rock, and alternative country. They’ve just unleashed their debut album ‘Know the Feeling’ and yup, you guessed it, I’ve fallen in love with it! Twelve tracks that, as the band explain, go from “Foot-stomping barn-burners to introspective ballads,” it’s a record that showcases Sunset to Burn’s unfiltered expression of their shared experiences.

With each band member contributing to the songwriting process, they’re an act that supplies genre-blending and distinctive songs. The album’s opener and title track is definitely one of the most interesting I’ve come across in a while. Intricate banjo work mixed with swift hi-hats and warm drums set the foundation for Lucas Roberts’ luscious vocals, as the band invite you into their rich and captivating world.

Tunes like ‘Mary’s Letters’ and ‘Slow Movin’ On’ exude that timeless country charm, while others like ‘Call It Easy’ and ‘Look at Miss Ohio’ lean closer to the energetic spirit of classic rock anthems. There’s honestly nothing this group can’t do, and I’m with them every step of the way!
