‘Fallen’ is the ridiculously beautiful debut single from a UK-based self-taught music creator known only as Stirred by Life. Dedicated to “everyone who is going through challenging times,” the tune is hauntingly emotive and deeply poignant. A delicate acoustic guitar is joined by exquisite strings and the wondrous vocals of the artist, all culminating in what is truly an emotional journey. Lyrically, it’s a track that speaks to the ability of humans to persevere through the dark and difficult moments, all while feeling fragile, vulnerable, anguished, and disconnected. “We are all more resilient than we think,” says Stirred by Life.
The musician worked alongside a stellar cast of others to bring ‘Fallen’ to life. Daren Reece Lamberton (North Blood) works his magic on the acoustic guitar, Stephen Boyce-Buckley (Cher, Neneh Cherry) produces, and Andrew Prince (former first violinist with the BBC Symphony) wrote the profound string arrangement. What a team, and what a song!
‘Fallen’ will form part of Stirred by Life’s upcoming concept EP that takes listeners through themes of despair, hope, trust, new love, and new beginnings. “Life is a journey of highs and lows,” states the artist, so don’t expect the whole EP to sound like ‘Fallen’. I’m in love with this tune, and can’t wait to hear more from Stirred by Life!
