Around two years ago, we at Mesmerized discovered the Australian sound sorcerer known as Sonomancer. The artist had just cooked up an inventive FIFA World Cup-inspired jewel called ‘Stoppage Time’ and we were instantly enamoured with their sound.
During that time, another hypnotic and leftfield tune called ‘Dreamscapes’ was released by Sonomancer, and the producer now returns with a re-imagined version and AI-generated video of that track.
Pairing downtempo rhythms with psychedelic electronic waves, the reworked version of ‘Dreamscapes’ feels more like a journey through space and time than a song. Blending elements of ambient, trip-hop, and avant-garde music, the artist crafts an otherworldly sonic experience that’s both futuristic and deeply immersive. Pulling you into its orbit, there is simply no escape from the genre-bending piece of music.
Inspired by the likes of Boards of Canada, The Future Sound of London, and Orbital, Sonomancer’s soundscape is ever-evolving and unendingly shifting.
