We have had our fair share of articles about Snakedoctors. The Polish band has been incredibly fertile in the last couple of years, showcasing an impressive prowess for punk and indie-inspired bangers and relatable lyricism. Now, the talented outfit returns with their latest single, ‘Why Don’t’. One thing that we are able to instantly catch is how their sound seems to get better and better with every release. Clearly, Snakedoctors’ are growing, slowly becoming a solid reality of the Polish and International rock scene.
At a deeper look, it is clear why the new record sounds so good. Employing the help of Nik Hughes on drums, from the band Bush, the Gdansk-based rockers write a piece that feels as gritty as it is emotional. Moving at a rather slow pace, ‘Why Don’t’ is a fantastic relationship anthem, exploring love issues with a certain early ‘2000 zest.
The single anticipates the release of ‘Waiting’ an upcoming album which will also include an unplugged version of ‘Why Don’t’, together with another mix by Chris Rakestraw. As always, Snakedoctors have crafted a music video for the single, shot in Poland and Serbia.
