Sinikka Monte Creates Dark Pop Wonder ‘Dead End’

Jeremy Bregman

‘Dead End’ is the brand new single from Sinikka Monte, a Finnish and South African singer/songwriter who was born in Scotland and currently living in Austria. It’s one of those songs that is hard to put a label on, as Monte concocts an eclectic, ethereal, dark pop banger that just gets better and better with each listen. Described by the artists as “a spontaneous knee-jerk reaction to a love story that could have been great but ended in betrayal“, ‘Dead End’ sees Monte at her most unfiltered and unguarded.

Working alongside Robert Wallner, the pair have created a tune that will certainly resonate with anyone who has been unfortunate enough to have been cheated on. “All I asked for was to be loved endlessly and not to be terrified of loving again“.

Monte grew up listening to Hannah Montana and Justin Bieber, but her sound is more influenced by artists like Labrinth, Madison Beer, and Ariana Grande. She has received numerous awards already throughout her short career, and we feel that they are all richly deserved. A highly talented musician who is, without a doubt, going all the way to the top!
