It’s Eduard, once again. Armed with his imaginative and virtuoso blues-rock flair, the talented English musician returns with brand new music, giving Shyfrin Alliance the hard-hitting track ‘Lockdown’. A fiercer and darker offering than previous singles, ‘Lockdown’ jumps right into classic and alt-rock extravaganza, leaving the project’s eclectic side behind, albeit just for a moment.
It all works well: among rowdy, raw guitar riffs and aggressive choruses, pompous horn sections and a steady drum beat, Shyfrin Alliance takes us back to the golden era of rock charisma, yet – thanks to Eduard’s gloomy, smoky vocals – they also manage to retain a certain amount of mystery and unresolved energy.
‘Lockdown’ plays an important role, guiding us towards the release of the group’s debut album ‘Upside Down Blues’, expected on November 19th. About the record, we are told it’s packed with “intoxicating rock, blues and romantic balladry, composed entirely by Eduard himself”. For now, we’ll stick with ‘Lockdown’, including the accompanying music video you can check out down below.
