We were proud to be featuring SHWA on the occasion of her debut single, ‘Learn To Hurt’. Even then, it was clear that the Welsh songstress had a rather unique gift for melodious storytelling and anthemic vocals. Fast forward to today, and we are even more confident about it: ‘Butterflies’ is SHWA’s latest effort, a stunning and evocative pop gem, built over cinematic tones and poignant lyricism.
Lyrically, ‘Butterflies’ seeks to offer a welcome piece of advice, while ‘keeping it real’ – as someone would gladly say. SHWA suggests that love is not necessarily going to be a fable, instead, we should accept the struggles that relationships can sometimes bring with them. As the now London-based talent declares: “falling in love isn’t easy” – but always worth it in the end.
