Hailing from Seattle, the American group boasts an angular, nuanced sound, built on instrumental prowess and compositional genius. Developing intricate grooves over fuzzy guitars, ‘I Will Rupture and Die’ opens the EP with fierceness and charisma, resembling a rock opera; the song is fourteen minutes long!
‘Leftover Generation’ takes a more considerate approach, clocking in at under the three-minute mark. Approachable and with a heavier lyrical side, the track is perhaps a more suitable point of entry to Shaker Bloomheart’s artistic side; at the very least, it’s proof that the group has an unlimited reserve of good ideas.
