Hailing from Zadar, Croatia, Seven and counting is an eight-piece band that recently unleashed their debut album titled ‘Tonight’. Though formed in 2015, the act took several years to finalise the exact line-up they were looking for – and then came a global pandemic that further delayed their introduction to the world. Undeterred, the band used this time wisely to refine and hone in on their sound and strengthen their musical chemistry, resulting in a cracking ten-track offering that I am extremely proud to share with you today.
Describing their style as “rock-based with various flavours,” Seven and counting get their record underway with an infectious and upbeat tune called ‘Keep Me’. It’s got an old-school rock ‘n’ roll vibe to it, and it’s the perfect start to proceedings.
‘Back In Your Arms’ then makes its introduction with a deadly saxophone and a piano-led groove that culminates into a soulful sort of ballad…Just superb!
‘I Don’t Wanna Go Home’ starts quietly, but it’s not long before the listener is met with another anthemic chorus that showcases the act’s knack for crafting irresistibly catchy and memorable songs.
