Savanah Solomon is best known as the singer/songwriter from the acclaimed Perth-based outfit Savanah & The Strays. Now, however, she is forging a path of her own as a solo artist, and has just released her incredible third single to date entitled ‘Where the River Meets the Sea’. Following the success of ‘Lost In Love’ and ‘Rainbow’, her two previous singles, Savanah’s latest tune is a bold and heartfelt one that allows for her unimaginably good vocals to shine through brightly. The twang of guitars and climbing pedal steel accompany Savanah on her journey, and the exquisite and subtle nature of just what she’s all about becomes clear for all to see.
‘Where the River Meets the Sea’ tells the profound and complex tale of a young woman who has outgrown her rural hometown and finds herself at something of a standstill in life. Exploring the humdrum aspects of our existence serves as a reminder that these are, in fact, the building blocks to greater things.
