In September last year, Nashville-based alternative-indie artist Samantha Gibb released an eclectic and downright brilliant tune called ‘Sorry, Not Sorry’. Now she has returned with a four-track EP that features some of her previous songs reworked in a softer and more acoustic arrangement. Her latest version of ‘Sorry, Not Sorry’, now featuring a comma in the title, is just incredible! It’s haunting really. Just listen to that acoustic guitar! With Gibb’s warm and sultry vocals over an ethereal and airy soundscape, she has reimagined (and dare I say upgraded) her tune in the most beautiful way.
Lyrically, Gibb finds empowerment through self-reflection and growth and is unapologetic about the mistakes of her past, knowing that they’ve helped form her and grow. “I hope people can listen to the song and feel that although we don’t always make the best decisions, we can always make better ones,” she says.
Samantha Gibb’s ability to revamp her own work and elevate it to a whole new level showcases her creativity and talent as an artist. With the release of her latest EP, Gibb not only demonstrates her versatility but also offers her fans a different perspective on her music.
