Pursuing a personal path developing around IDM, chillwave and melodic techno, the Lithuanian talent is able to produce highly peculiar pieces that completely hypnotise the listeners, offering an outlet for escapism and self-healing, a relevant theme in our complex and tumultuous times.
Now, Rushkeys shares his latest effort, a stunning remix of Mookee’s ‘Anhaga’. The alchemy between the two producers is perfect, with our Vilnius-based hero able to delve into mellow and dreamy territories. Layering slow-paced noisy beats with an array of bucolic arpeggios and evocative vocal samples, Rushkeys manages to deliver a piece that feels universal and cinematic, packed with textures and ambient-like energy.
Taken from Mokee’s upcoming ‘Alinea Remixed EP’, ‘Anhaga’ instantly stands out as a wonderful record, a rare slice of melodic goodness. As Rushkeys explains: “I chose the track Anhaga because I liked its cinematic sound and how beautifully instrumental textures are combined with electronic timbres. I tried to interpret the tune through my creative voice by taking it somewhere slightly new.”
