Rufetop is a brand new and exciting two-man reggaeton act, consisting of members 9-Volt and Jett Black. Hailing from Los Angeles, the two musicians have diverse sonic backgrounds, 9-Volt’s being jazz and Black’s being pop-rock. Their debut single is entitled ‘PEACHY (show me your na na)’, and it’s one of the catchiest, edgiest, and most anthemic tunes I’ve heard so far this year! Yes, I know it’s only January! Fusing reggaeton and rock, something the band has described as “Bad Bunny meets Beastie Boys”, ‘PEACHY’ is an energetic, at times a little humorous, and just downright sexy little song!
Rufetop is determined to bring fresh and current topics to the forefront of the public’s mind through their music. They’re looking to spark authentic debate on issues that are often ignored by larger news outlets, whilst never letting go of their funny, sexy, and sometimes controversial side.
I truly get the feeling that Rufetop is an act to watch out for in 2023 and beyond. With their ambitious goals and superb in-house production skills, they are sure to make a splash in the music industry. We can’t wait to hear what they get up to next!
