Roxercat is a new and progressive classic rock band based in Nashville, Tennessee. Towards the end of last year, they released two extremely well-received singles in the form of ‘Pearls’ and ‘I Changed Today’. They are now proud to be releasing the ‘Pearls’ EP, six tracks that showcase just how ridiculously talented this line-up truly is. Led by singer/songwriter Price Jones, the title track opens up the EP. “All I ever wanted was for you to be happy,” sings Jones, embodying the musician’s worldview and outlook. “Life is about surrounding yourself with people who believe in you,” she states.
‘Crime’ follows ‘Pearls’, and brings a funky and upbeat atmosphere to the fore. I just have to say…the production quality of the entire EP is truly superb, and we can thank Grammy Award-winning engineer and producer Clarke Schleicher for that. ‘Baby I Tried’ takes things down again, a laid-back and introspective tune that allows for Jones’ exceptional vocals to shine bright.
‘I Will Not Lie’, ‘I Changed Today’, and ‘2020’ round up the remainder of the EP and, without giving too much away, are all outstanding songs in their own right. Trust us, put on the ‘Pearls’ EP right now, you won’t be disappointed!
