Roots Asylum Return with Uplifting Gem ‘Ride On’

‘Ride On’ champions quite an empowering message, making it the perfect match for days when you feel euphoric and ready to live life to its fullest. The sonic background perfectly fits the record’s lyricism, making the track a luscious, uplifting and joyful bundle of musical goodness. Emerging from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Roots Asylum are the authors of such a masterpiece. Championing a relatively friendly classic blues-rock outlook, the group delivers on all fronts, with lead singer Jimmy Macaroni and writing partner Susan Spade lending their songwriting skills to the cause. The alchemy between male and female vocals is another intriguing aspect of Roots Asylum, making them stand out in the sea of modern rock offerings.

Among fuzzy, fast-paced guitar riffs and punchy drums, ‘Ride On’ ends up being quite an understated banger, further enriched by motivating lyricism. As Macaroni explains: “It’s about the ups and downs of the journey, and escaping your life on a chrome and steel motorcycle. It took a year to finish this track and we poured our hearts and souls into it. I sure hope folks enjoy it as much as we enjoyed being in the studio creating it.”

Notably, the track was recorded at La Luna Studios and mixed and mastered by Mike Roche, who also played guitar and produced the track.
