Robert Jordan Shares Nostalgic Album ‘Vincent and Theo’

A traditional and nostalgic record, ‘Song for Bob’ jumps straight into organic 70s territory, making ample use of fuzzy guitar tones, galloping drums and an overall sonic imprint that’s playful, yet nuanced, quite melancholic at times. Robert Jordan’s friendly vocals are packed with pathos, exhibiting a dark tone that greatly contrasts with the occasional female harmonies.

Taken from Jordan’s larger album ‘Vincent and Theo’, ‘Song for Bob’ signals Robert’s personal journey into songwriting and art-making. Describing himself as “an old guy who started songwriting late in life”, the Colorado-based artist seems motivated to prove to himself that music can be still a valid expressive outlet.

It certainly is; through a sound that’s honest and authentic, simple and accessible, Jordan delivers a series of vintage folk and rock nuggets, extending the keen listener a heartwarming slice of musical magic.
